The RSM Classic Promises Intensity and High-Stake Consequences

In 2010, the Davis Love Foundation partnered with the PGA TOUR to become the Host Organization of The RSM Classic. Since that time, the tournament has raised and distributed more than $35 million to charities.

That tradition continues in November with the 14^th playing of The RSM Classic. There’s much anticipation and high-stake consequences surrounding the event due to changes in the structure of the TOUR schedule and the announcement of the FedExCup Fall. These changes have also generated some questions. Here are some of the answers.

What is the FedExCup Fall?

The FedExCup Fall features seven tournaments that will finalize the top 125 players who will secure their PGA TOUR cards for 2024 as well as those who will have special playing opportunities. This makes these events, especially The RSM Classic, incredibly important.

Who can participate in FedExCup Fall Events?

Eligibility for these events is the same as the FedExCup Regular Season. At The RSM Classic, the top 156 committing players from the Priority Ranking are eligible to compete.

Why would players in different categories commit to FedExCup Fall Events?

• Players ranking 1-30: chance to win and accumulate Official World Golf Ranking points
• Players ranking 31-50: (above) and with a win, earn a two-year PGA TOUR exemption and spots in the Masters Tournament and PGA Championship
• Players ranking 51-70: (above) and exemptions to three Signature Events in 2024: The Sentry (with a win) and two others by finishing Nos. 51-60 in the FedExCup standings (AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, The Genesis Invitational)
• Players ranking 71-125: (above) and fighting to stay in the top 125
• Players ranking 126 and beyond: (above) and working to move into top 125

What benefits will winners of FedExCup Fall events receive?

• 2-year exemption on PGA TOUR
• 500 FedExCup points
