SIMONS ISLAND, GA – SEPTEMBER 25, 2017 – Today, the Davis Love Foundation announced that it will bring American country music singer and songwriter Jake Owen to the Golden Isles to perform live during The RSM Classic tournament week. The tournament, an Official PGA TOUR Event which attracts some of the world’s most elite golfers, is sponsored by RSM US LLP and the Jake Owen concert is presented by Southeast Georgia Health System.

Owen’s concert will take place on Saturday, November 18 at McKinnon St. Simons Island Airport.

Since starting his career in 2006, the Vero Beach native has been in good company, touring with Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney and Carrie Underwood, and collaborating with other country superstars, Florida Georgia Line and Chris Stapleton.

He has had six #1 singles to date – the 2X PLATINUM anthem “Barefoot Blue Jean Night”, PLATINUM-certified hits “Beachin’”, “Anywhere with You”, “Alone with You” and “The One That Got Away” plus GOLD-certified “American Country Love Song”. Last year, the RCA Nashville recording artist released his fifth studio album, AMERICAN LOVE, which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and #4 on the Billboard 200 chart.

“I’m pumped to perform at The RSM Classic in the Golden Isles,” said Owen.  “It’s going to be a high energy performance in a laid back setting.”

The Jake Owen Foundation was created to offer its support on a national level to children battling cancer and other childhood diseases while also lending its support to youth organizations and various charities in Owen’s hometown area of Indian River County, Fla. The local organizations benefiting from the Foundation’s annual concert assist youth with illnesses, shelter, food, education, health and fitness, the arts and the opportunity to better themselves through various programs and organizations.

“We’re thrilled to bring Jake to perform here,” said Davis Love III, Tournament Host, 21-time PGA TOUR winner and 2017 World Golf Hall of Fame inductee.  “He is a fantastic performer.  He also has a Foundation which supports children battling cancer and other childhood diseases.  This mission aligns perfectly with the charitable goals of The RSM Classic and our own Foundation.”

Love continued, “We’re very thankful for the support of Southeast Georgia Health System and RSM to make this concert for the community possible.”

“We are proud to be the Presenting Sponsor of this concert in addition to serving as the Official Medical Provider for this prestigious event,” said Michael D. Scherneck, President and CEO of Southeast Georgia Health System.  “The RSM Classic is a world-class event that attracts visitors to our beautiful Golden Isles and we are happy to partner with the Davis Love Foundation on an event that has such a positive impact on our community.”

Tickets can be purchased as part of the weekly ticket booklet or individually in conjunction with a Saturday golf ticket at www.RSMClassic.com.  Individual Saturday golf/concert tickets are $50.
