The Golden Isles has been named the #1 World’s Best Islands in the Continental U.S. by Travel + Leisure readers in the 2026 World’s Best Awards, while also earning the #11 spot among the Best Islands in the World.
This marks the fourth time in the past six years that the Golden Isles has earned the number one ranking, having previously received the distinction in 2020, 2023, and 2024. The award also extends an impressive streak of national recognition, with the Golden Isles appearing on Travel + Leisure’s Top Ten list of Best U.S. Islands for more than a decade.
The RSM Classic is proud to be a partner of the Golden Isles Convention & Visitors Bureau as well as the only PGA TOUR event contested at a Forbes 5 Star resort and in the same town as the top island in the United States.
Since its beginning in 2010, the RSM Classic has become an important part of the fabric of the community. Through the Davis Love Foundation, the tournament has raised more than $53 million to assist over 55 non-profit organizations that serve children and families in need in the region with assistance from over 1,200 volunteers annually.
